THE EVERYDAY HERO - THAT IS MY SUBJECT MATTER.
Kgmotso Neto – (b.1990) Alexandra, Johannesburg. Currently living in Johannesburg, South Africa.
Kgomotso is a self-taught photographer living and working in Johannesburg. His photography blurs the line between documentary and fine art photography, creating raw and honest imagery that draws the viewer in.
He uses the medium of photography to challenge the stereotypes and misconceptions we have about ordinary people living and working in and around Johannesburg, from street vendors, hostel dwellers, recyclers to taxi drivers. He challenges the dominant belief that black spaces are places of crime and poverty.
Kgomotso has had a successful career as a commercial photographer doing work for many international brands. His work has been featured in various local and international publications such as between 10and5, okayafrica, Asian Photography and Radio Africa Magazine among others. He has exhibited at the Turbine Art Fair under the “Fresh Produce” category.Discover all art from Kgomotso Neto >
