GETTING STARTED
Q.Do I have to create an account to buy on artfull?
A.

To browse and enjoy our site, you do not need to register. However, at the time of purchase, you will be requested to register to the site.

Q.Why should I create an account on artfull?
A.

By creating an account on artfull, you will be able to take advantage of additional features such as collecting your favourites. As well, you will receive information about what’s happening in the art world, discover emerging artists, and get exclusive invites to artfull events.

Q.What happens if I forget my password?
A.

If you forget your password, please click the lost password link on the login screen. We will send a password reset email to your registered email address to ensure that it really is you and that would like to reset your password.

ARTWORK
Q.How do I know my artwork is authentic and one of a kind?
A.

All artwork on the site are artist originals or limited-edition photographs and prints. Upon purchase, each work is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.

Q.How are the dimensions listed?
A.

We list our dimensions with the height first, then the width. They exclude framing where applicable.

Q.What is a Canvas?
A.

Canvas prints use a poly-cotton blend canvas with stretcher bars on which the canvas is wrapped on all four sides.

Q.What is Fine Art Paper?
A.

artfull prints are archival, which means they are printed on 100% acid-free paper, which means they will most likely outlive you.

Q.What is Photo Paper?
A.

The paper on which we print photographs is a thick, white, matte paper.

Q.What is an Edition?
A.

An edition is a limited run of a specific piece of artwork. For example, an edition of 15 means that only 15 examples of that work will be printed – ever. If you own edition 2/15 then you own the second edition piece of that print run. Once an edition is closed, no further prints will be made of it at that size.

Q.How do I know my print is authentic?
A.

All prints are accompanied by a signed certificate of authenticity to maintain the integrity of your print. The authenticity card contains the artist’s signature, the edition number and the title of the work, as well as the artfull certification of authenticity.

Q.Are the colours exactly as they appear on my screen?
A.

We work hard to ensure that all images are displayed accurately; however, your screen resolution, model, and brightness may reflect subtle variations from the actual artwork.

FRAMING
Q.How do I care for my artwork?
A.

Avoid touching the surface of your canvas or print. Oils can be transferred to the print from your hands, and rough treatment can scratch the surface and harm the pigment.  We recommend that you frame your print as soon as possible as this will help to protect and preserve your artwork once it is on display.

Q.How is my artwork framed?
A.

If you choose for your artwork to be framed, it will be done so using archival quality custom framing which will include a wood frame, in your preferred colour, matt board as well as glass. It will arrive ready-to-hang.

Q.Do the dimensions include the frame?
A.

Each piece of artwork is a one-of-a-kind original and the sizes listed are the un-framed dimensions and are approximations. Final framed dimensions may vary by 2-5cm. If the space where your artwork will be placed requires a very specific size, let us know when you are placing your order by emailing us at hello@artfull.co. We will do our best to accommodate your order.

Q.How are your frames made?
A.

All paper used in the framing is acid-free, and custom cut to perfectly fit your artwork. All prints are framed by a professional framer and have Plexiglas fronts to prevent against breakage or scratching. All framed prints are accompanied by a hanger and nail so that they are ready for the wall.

Q.My prints aren’t perfectly flat, should I try to flatten them?
A.

Unframed prints are shipped in tubes, but a day or two under some heavy books will get them nice and flat. If you don’t frame with us, ask your framer to flatten your prints for you before framing. For hassle-free installation, we offer framing.

SHIPPING
Q.How are artfull artworks shipped?
A.

Unframed prints ship in tubes, and framed prints and canvases in boxes providing extra protection and safe delivery.

Q.Do you offer free shipping throughout South Africa?
A.

We do offer free shipping within South Africa!

Q.How long will it take for me to get my order?
A.

For prints and originals, the shipping time is 2-3 *business days from the date you place your order.
For photographic prints, the shipping time is 4-5 *business days from the date you place your order.
We will be notifying you via email when your artwork has been shipped and again when your artwork has been delivered.
*Business days exclude weekends and public holidays.

Q.Do you ship internationally?
A.

We do ship unframed prints internationally via DHL. Unfortunately, because of the high shipping cost we do not ship framed prints internationally at this time. The international shipping cost will reflect in your cart at checkout, this price will not include the tax & duties. Tax & duties will be the responsibility of the customer. Please allow an extra week for delivery. artfull does not upcharge or make any money from international shipping.

We ship framed and unframed artworks within South Africa.

Q.What if my piece arrives damaged?
A.

While occasional damage by couriers and art handlers in transit is out of our control, we are happy to work with you to resolve these issues if damage does occur. Please contact our after-sales support on hello@artfull.co

PAYMENT
Q.What type of payment methods do you accept?
A.

artfull accepts leading credit cards including Visa, MasterCard, American Express and EFT via Pay Fast. Please note you may be required to use 3D secure verification on some payments. This is an added measure of security to ensure your safety.

Q.What is a CVV Code?
A.

The CVV code or Credit Card Verification Value is the three-digit number printed in the signature space on the back of most credit cards. For American Express, it is the four-digit code located on the front of the card.

Q.Which currency is used?
A.

Payments are processed in South African Rands (ZAR).

Q.Do I need to insure my artwork?
A.

When purchasing new valuables such as laptops, jewellery, and artwork, it’s always wise to check with your insurance or homeowner’s insurance to make sure your policy covers the specific items.

EXCHANGES AND RETURNS
Q.Do you accept returns?
A.

Our prints are custom printed for each order that is placed, therefore, they cannot be returned or exchanged once purchased.

Works damaged in transit may be exchanged or returned on a case by case basis. Occasional damage by the courier in transit happens and is out of our control. We are happy to work with you to immediately resolve any damage that may have occurred.

If your print or original is flawed or damaged, please let us know.
